Title: V6 Radiator
Post by: JezInBrum on 17 April 2008, 18:26:31
Hi, quick question for you all. Would a radiator from a 2001 2.6 auto with A/C fit a 1996 3.0 auto with A/C?
Thanks in advance, Jez

Don't know about the 2.6 but my 3.2 has a separate gearbox cooler whereas earlier cars had it built into the radiator. Might be worth checking. :y

I guess you take a risk with second hand parts, but the one I have would be out of a still running nicely 3.0 v6 98 elite...

My 2.6 has a separate air/fluid heat exchanger for the transmission. Sits between the radiator and the condenser.

Sounds the same as my 3.2.

I guess an older radiator might work in a newer car - just don't connect the cooler, but not the other way round.
