Title: temp gauge..

had no temp gauge for a while now changed sensor no diffrent so must be faulty gauge, my question is do i have to change the complete clocks or can i repair it somehow...not much knowledge on the old electrical side!!!!  :-?

May be easier to replace the whole unit than try to split it and repair.

I have 2 from the same year as your car (very cheap if you want one  :y)

Just try pushing home the dash to make sure the push fit plug is fully engaged, this caused my temp gauge to stop working ;)

cheers for the advice chaps will take dash out in the morning and have a look, also would the thermostat play a part with the temp gauge not working..ie being faulty....

No the guage will still work even with no thermostate ;)
Have you tried just giving the dash a good push yet to see if the guage suddenly starts working again???
