Vx twin electrode ones.....4 electrode parts offer no advantage and can actual shield the flame front....
-
have you used these plugs before.

have you used these plugs before.
Which?
Vx - Yes, many times
Tried and fitted many more expensive types and had no improvement (not that you would expect any) and in some cases poorer running (i.e. Bosch Super 4's)
What you have to consider is that
1) The Omega engine are pretty efficent so dont have massive cylinder temps unlike say a Turbo car
2) The engine management setup really extends the plug life through tight control of timing and mixture
If you check a set of 40K plugs and measure the elctrode gap, it will be pretty much the same as the day it was fitted!

..... and how do you check the gap on multi electrode plugs? :-? ;) ;)

Take GM plugs, or NGK. It is possible that BOSH is making GM spark plugs, but original BOSH just dont work as well as GM's or NGK.

Had problems with GM plugs (misfire under load), fitted NKG Irdium plugs at 117k, speedo now at 142k ie covered 25k, checked 2 weeks ago and they still look like new, worth the money :y

i have used bosch super 4's with no problems (4 electrode) idle is actually smoother than the standard 2 electrodes i took out. :y

You use gauge rods....

Hows that a comparison....ow look, these new plugs work better than these old ones.... :-?
The 4 electrode ones are not better, they only extende the service interval by which time they have often worked loose any way......on a normaly aspirated car, fancy plugs only empty your wallet.....you want good quality standard plugs, not fancy snake oil based things

I put in the LPG versions and what a difference! Engine smoother, more powerful and economy now at 21 (up from 18) and I changed plugs halfway through a tankful of LPG - so hoping for even better on this new tankful.
BKR6EIX-LPG

How much are these? Are they really worth it?
-
I paid £6 each ie £36 total, I think worth every penny. ;) ;)

I paid £49 inc p&p for a set of 6.

But these have a platinum tip on the ground electrode so will last longer - especially in LPG engines.
-
have changed plugs, used the vx ones, car is running sweet, also had oil breathing system cleaned, (cheers aid) well recommended,

Just fitted a set of boggo twin electrode NGKs rather than forking out for posh Bosch ones from Halfrauds - just hope they'll be fine on LPG (when I get it finished!), otherwise i might just try the LPG variant...
