hi all ive had ago at replacing my coolant well i didnt disconect heater supply hose from the bulkhead and poor coolant down it as it says in the H manual so i need to do this ive been running the car today and ithink its running a bit hot and making gurgling noises so if some help me to find where the hose is and run me through the process that would help me lots. i think its the pipe under the coolant tank. cheers :'(

I never remove that pipe either.
Have the heater on full hot and burp the big pipes a bit, the Omega is quite good at clearing its own airlocks. (you need the car running)

thanks for then info i did what you siad and i find the car is still running hot the rubber tubes from the rad pipe are to hot to handle is this normal or am i paranoid lol its just when i changed the coolant i just hope ive done things right :y

Yes, these pipes are usually hot after normal running; however what is your temp gauge showing? :-?

its showing the norm but the engine does seem to be rather hot.
does anyone no where the bleeding screw is on this car?

As long as your guage is showing between 85 - 90 it is all fine :y The engine must get hot to work efficiently, and if it was too hot the gauge would tell you so. :y
When you say 'bleeding screw' is that the screw you swear about when trying to undo, or to drain something? ;D ;D If the latter, what? Oil, water, or brake fluid? :-? :y

I can't remember if there is a drain tap/plug at the base of the raditor but usually there is. If not disconnect bottom hose to drain system.
However, why do you want to 'bleed' the rad? If you are thinking of getting air out of the system do what Dazzler suggested, leaving the expansion tank cap off whilst pressing the top hoses whilst the engine is running.
PLEASE, PLEASE, WHATEVER YOU DO ENSURE THE ENGINE HAS COOLED FOR ABOUT FIVE MINUTES BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DISCONNECT ANY HOSES OR UNSCREWING DRAIN TAPS/BOLTS. :y :y BE SAFE1 :y

There's no bleed screw for the coolant.
The Haynes Manual is rubbish - if you could remove that pipe I doubt it would help.
You just need to run the car up to temp with the coolant cap off, make sure the heater's on hot, and give all the pipes a good squeeze.
All done. Just to make sure check the level after a journey (once it's cooled down).

Once had a similar problem, I just ran the car up on car ramps so the front was quite high, then filled system right up, started up and did the squeezing of the top and bottom hoses simultaneously with expansion tank cap off, then topped up the expansion tank until it was brimming full, then took for a drive, left overnight corrected level in expansion tank when stone cold in the morning. Then no more problem.

My V6 CDX runs usually around 85 - 90, and I note from other comments on the forum that others run at this temp. My 3.0 V6 Elite did as well. :y

most cars operating temp is around 90, my omega goes between 90 - 95.
As for bleeding, the omega has a self bleeding system so theres no need to do this.
Also the water in side the hose is about 90* so its bound to feel a little warm :y
i wouldnt worry about it at all mate, there will be air in the system but after a few runs this should clear up, just check the water level before you drive it, for a few days and top up when/if necessary.
