Title: Catera question
Post by: miggy on 20 October 2007, 11:56:23
Just a general question.

Is the Catera still made overseas, ie can it still be purchased in places like Australia/America etc.

not really mate, just wondered if they were still made, my next family car will be a 300c in a couple of years once the price comes down.

If the Omega, facelift was still made i would most certanly go for one. You here all sorts of rumors about the omega coming back out, but i will not be the same body style if it did.

Out of luck my friend. My Catera, like all the others, were built in Rüsselsheim Germany. Last year of production was 2001. I don't think the Omega was ever imported or built in Australia. Holden used the Opel Omega platform as the basis for the Commodore. I believe they named a model of it Omega but it had little in common with the European version. The link leads to a GTO forum and explains the convoluted evolution of the Commodore line and the Omega connection.
