This is'nt a favourite car post although mine's the Mk3 'Tina, but a car that you secretly like but would never admit too. Well it's judgement day if you can bear the shame. I'll admit to loving Volvo 740/760 GL/GLE auto estates, dunno why, just like the way they drive.
I've also got a thing for Marina Vans!!!
Being honest here so c'mon 'fess up! :D

sshhh!! ....Dont tell anyone but I really liked them Reliant Scimitars :-[ :-X

I can bear the shame... Yep I know it rusted away but I really liked the Rover SD1's, especially the Vitesses

Had both 740 and 760 (V6 3.0ltr 204 BHP preT5) before getting a Daimler , which was smooth
Real suprise was a Vaux "Viva" HA van.

One of my favourites (backseat was well used !) was a Morris Marina Coupe 1.8 TC
(http://www.retrowow.co.uk/transport/70s/morris_marina.jpg)
Same 1800 B series BLMC lump as the MGB I later got.. I learned a lot about tuning twin carbs on that motor - very reliable ... and reasonably quick .. well I was only 20 at the time, and the previous motor was a Ford Consul Mk2 ..now the front bench seat on that could tell some tales that would get me in trouble ..... :)

Well my first car was a chrysler alpine, nickname UFORB!!!.....done quite a bit of tooring roond scotland in it.

I really liked the Rover 2.7 Auto Sterling
had 2 of em and the wine off the engine is addictive. Very torquey too! :-[ :-[

The Vitesses seemed to be a bit better for some reason at fighting out the tin worm. I still see a couple of them around about here when the weather is nice.

Saw a Capri yesterday, but it was a 1.6 Laser. If you're going to keep an old car and look after it why not start with something better than the base spec with smallest engine?
-
2.8 :D
