Title: Misfiring
Post by: Darth Loo-knee on 07 May 2008, 20:39:50
at anything under around 2500-3000rpm then seems to go.... it does sound as though the car is firing on 5 cylinders....
I have done a paperclip test and there are no faults
There is a slight drop of oil in the plug wells so there is oil on the bottom of the leads.
Could this be either a plug breaking down or a lead?
Or does this sound like a dis pack?

Or all 3 :-/
More likely a plug or lead, but this will lead to dis-pack failure if not rectified :(

It will be the oil that is causing the missfire.

Hi guys,
Pity there is no better method to allow these engines to 'breathe' other than this weak link breather system that is suseptable to blockage.
My gasket job scheduled for this weekend... :(

Stephen.
