Title: oil leak still
Post by: bobbertbear on 05 May 2008, 21:22:44
ok i have an oil leak, had it for about a month now,but everyone on here advised me it was the cam covers leaking, but when i took the engine out to do an auto to manual conversion, the cam covers were dry, could it be a leak out of the head gasket on the back corner of the head as its running down the joint between the engine and box,its from the passengers  side head an when you're driving its blowing back on to the exhaust,so any help would be grateful. :(

just an update, took the cylinder head off tonight and it had been leaking out from the back corner to the outside of the engine, the oilway right in the corner so going back together when the head bolts arrive.

I am surprised, given the distance between the oil ways and the edge of the head !
