Title: Changing Rear sub frame bushes

Has anyone every replaced these on a 3.0 and how do you do it?

I've changed these and there not that hard, I used a 3 legged hub puller, large washer and a large flat bladed screwdriver.

Axle stand under the trailing arm, remove the metal plate securing the subfram and rubber bush.

Pull the old bush out (a claw hammer works well for this)

Push the new one in (a bit of lube on the rubber i.e. Talc)

Use the plate upside down to push the rubber all the way in

Re-fit and job done.

Yeah, it's not a bit deal. This is how I did it.

Remove the plate that covers the bush, 3 small bolts and a large bolt that goes through the bush.

Then get yourself the flat bladed screwdriver and create a gap between the edge of the bush and the hole on the subframe arm that the bush sits in. Make sure the gap is large enough to get the edges of the hub puller legs between the bush and the hole in the subframe arm.

Then using the large washer and the screw you tighten the hub puller with, use the washer and hub screw to push against the centre of the bush, that will give you enough force to pull the bush out from the hole.

The plan is to pull the bush enough so you can get better leverage and pull it out using the claw end of a hammer or something.

Its either that or you remove the rear subframe and do it like that.  :o

Best of luck, no doubt there's an easier way but I always like doing things the direct way.
