Hi all,
On my 2001 cdx 2.2 petrol estate I have "low beam fld/vision" on my dash display. I am presuming this is a fault with my HID headlamp self levellers.....they do appear to be static and did move before today!
Any idea which fuse to check if any, and how do I find and check the sensors and motors.

Doubt it's down to a fuse, more likely that one of the arms has popped off on one of the sensors.
Front one is mounted on the n/s wishbone and the rear is somewhere near the strut (Can't think where at the moment!).
If only one headlamp seems 'static' then it could be a failed levelling motor.

I would say that both lamps are static....are the arms pop back onable on the sensors or is it a new sensor job if the arms have come off...I cant say I have ever seen one of these before

Yes will pop back on but will probably need a tie wrap on to stop it happening again.
If you take the front n/s wheel off you will see the front sensor.

Sensors fitted to NSF and NSR suspension arms.

I had the exact same fault come up on PIB's car. It turned out that the sensor on the front passenger side wishbone had been taken off.
Got another one Timbuk and fitted it straight away the check went. :y

UPDATE
Well the sensors were ok, the fuses were ok but when I took the headlight out I found the box with the leveling motor and gear assembly was half full of very rusty water. I cleaned and lubed everything I could, drilled a tiny hole in the bottom of the motor box to drain any further water, tie wrapped a piece of rubber flap next to it to stop water going up the hole, reassembled it all put the headlight back in , held my breath and hey presto self levelling headlights again and no MID fault. This headlight has always misted up and I think the condensation was eventually pooling in the bottom of the light and then finding its way through the hole for the levelling actuator rod and into the motor/gearbox housing . Result. Thanks for the advice OOF strikes again!!
