I thought it would be easy buying tyres, but now I'm confused. My fronts are Dunlop SP9000 235/45 ZR17. Rears are Kumho 235/45 ZR17 97W
The 97W bit seems to relate to some kind of reinforcement ? Looking online the dunlops are 94 not 97 does that make a difference ?
Cant seem to find anything ZR rated , they are mostly Y, W or Z I assume I need Z ? (dunlops are Z rated)
Why is nothing in life simple !
Help !

sp9000 are z rated. seems tyre companies moving from z to w/x/y for obvious reasons...

97W is the load rating of tyre see here :

94 is fine :y

Got Falkens on the back of the LC and if they manage to keep traction on that there do your mig just fine

I have what look to be a complete set of budget tyres on my Miggy.
They were on the car when I bought it and still have plenty of life left in them.
I run Goodyear F1's on my Hundy, from experience these are the only tyres I personally trust for grip and reliabilty. Not cheap but worth it.
When I finally get my 3 litre Miggy I WILL be fitting F1's to the arse.
Just my 10p worth.
Oh and the VR17 is really V17 some manufacturers use the R for radius. The VWXYZ is a speed/weight rating.
Cheers
