I wanted the elite, could not find the right one, so I got the CDX, well pleased, not at all disapointed, there is not a lot different to an elite, I have full leather, it now has a rear electric sun blind, parking sensors, elec heated front seats, fold flat passenger seat, its an auto, I can live with not having the 3.2, again there is not a lot of difference in the 0-60mph between a 2.6 and 3.2, the BHP is something I can live with.

All in all i am very, very pleased with the CDX

Interesting, have only had CDX's pre-face and current facelift, this was before even knowing anything about elites etc., obviously the CDX's come with optional's when purchased as my facelift has the following that I think is'nt standard on CDX's:

Elec sunroof, leather seats front seats heated, traffic master and manual.  :y

True, and the wiring for the switches is also there behind the rear heater vents on the left and right, I have looked, but I believe the heated pads are a pig to fit on the leather spec.

Couple of sleeping bags suffice for the back anyway, I have never used the heated seats in the front, other than switching it on when a mates in the car to see if they notice the seat getting hot ;D

The only time i used it was when my back was giving me some pain,  ;Di sat in the car with it on, listening to radio 5 sport, and it did actually ease the pain.

:yJust to throw a spanner in the works mine has all the above except no sunroof at all & (as you know) it's an early 99 pre facelift CD. Traffic Master expired but if you play with the buttons you can get a sultry sounding girl telling you to renew it! :D

Only thing to note about that Omega......it could be older than it appears.
I dont know if Germany got the facelift sooner than the UK.....I suspect it probably did.

It says 1st registered 2000, but that will be when it was imported to the UK......unless rules have changed.

It used to be a trick......buy the car in Germany, run about in it for a year......import it into the UK.....register it as new......V5 then looks as the car is a year newer than it is......

So unless anyone can confirm, you carnt do this anymore......I'd be wanting to see the original bill of sale  :y
