Title: Crankcase breathers, small one 2.0L
Post by: cannonfodder on 20 May 2008, 17:17:53
Been having a few probs with my tickover, cleaned the IACV, and the small drilling underneath the butterfly. Discovered to my amazement that the smaller of the two breathers from the crank case, had actually been glued on, looks as if the pipe which it connects onto had broken off.  Not sure if the glue has obstructed the pipe, if so, what effect would this have on the car? thanks in advance

The crank case will pressurise on tickover......rather than running at a vaccum like it should.

are there any obvious symptoms of a crankcase pressurizing, I cant get to the other end of the pipe at the throttle housing just yet, to see if its blowing ?
