Firstly, sorry if this is in the wrong thread but there are people always on here and I am in the middle of the job. :)
About to change the Dis pack on my 2.0L got the bolts out, good job my hands are skinny and then decided to check the firing order. :o
Haynes manual says it should be 1 3 4 2, from the front.
Which way does the Dis go, I am more used to proper distributors.
Cos if it is anti clockwise then my firing order is 1 3 2 4
If it is clockwise then my firing order is 1 4 2 3
If it is wrong, would the engine start and run but misfire on acceleration? Which is what the problem was. Had crank sensor and cam sensor done, rocker gasket, oil in the plug holes, new plugs and leads.
I will cry if the car has been off the road for 6 months cos the firing order is wrong, I wonder who fitted the leads, mmmmm that might have been me. :-[ :-[ :-[ :'( :'( :'(
