Just been out for a spin in the wet (very wet here) and have a flood in the passenge side rear footwell and in the passenger side front footwell (thought not as bad).
Is there a common point of failure underneath the car, am I unlucky or is it a simple seal or weld job?
Any ideas?

Could be blocked scuttle drains
-
I am wondering if there isn't a drain there somewhere, that can have clogged up :)

Scuttle drains? Sorry to be dim but need expansion.. Would that cause flooding from beneath??
Thanks for the help.

the scuttle drain will be blocked, this means the water is backing up and has got into the cabin via the heater.
simple to fix, look down by the pollen filter and you will see the water, at the bottom there will be a grommet, get something like a coat hanger and try cleaning out the grommet, this will stop it from happening again

Thanks All!
Just unblocked drain - that's an awkward and messy job!!
Does anyone know why that water would end up in passenger footwells??

As the scuttle is blocked, the water level rises until it reaches the air inlet for the ventilation/air conditioning, it then flows past the pollen filter and blower motor and enters the car. It then drips/flows down any available pipe/wire/metal fitting and ends up in the footwell.
With luck the blower motor is OK, but they have been known to be damaged by water, the pollen filter will eventually dry out, as will the carpets.
The soundproofing is, however , a b*****d, it holds water like blotting paper and takes an age to dry, and if NOT dried fully... stinks... :(
Some folks have cut out the wet soundproofing to dry, others have used de-humidifiers ... either way .. get it dry or it stinks.... :(
