Title: Anything else recommended?
Post by: bedders on 03 June 2008, 21:03:49
My Gates cambelt kit is on its way, will be ordering a water pump & auxilliary belt from VX on TC, does anyone recommend anything else I will need to complete a front end job? Aux belt pulley etc?

Bits to do the camcover gaskets?

6 new Spark plugs while you're at it (dirt cheap with or without TC...)?

Just a thought....

Will any of the seals need replacing taking the Plunum/Intake on/off ?

Also the Auxilary drive belt.

Strickly speaking the only seals that MUST be repalced are to do with the camovers job, i.e. the camcovers gaskets and the o-rings, and I suspect most people here simply re-use the plenum and intake manifold gaskets (they can do with light oiling though) unless they are in poor shape. However I did change all of the rubber seals when I did the job, just to be on the safe side....
