Hi guys need some help
On the down pipe there is a pre cat then a cat .
My question is do i need that pre cat in the the pipe as my down pipe has blown and all the exhaust centres keep showing me are ones with out the pre cat for the Z2.2XE which is my engine :question
the car is a 2002 2.2 sport

Most pattern exhausts for 2.2 are WRONG. Try to stick to genuine. PM Markey Mark for a 2nd hand cat - they are reliable enough to use 2nd hand

vauxhall want just over £700 +vat for the pipe which i think is a bit of p**s taking

I suspect that when you say gone you have a blowing flexi joint.
In which case just replace the flexi bit with a clamp in section for about 25-30 quid.

their 2.2 exhaust picture at £96.18 +VAT defo shows 2 cats
as opposed to
the 2.0 which shows only one at £70.98 +VAT
Prices are for ceramic internals
If you have to get one worth phoning them to check - they know their stuff and delivery is good
