Any ideas what does this message means??? It is on computer display every single time i start the engine and it is really anoying. I have checked the lights and it is working fine. No water nothing. What else it might be?
-
level sensor on the HID light is faulty, means its not adjusting as it should.
-
where about that sensor might be located ?
-
2 things are common cause of that error - sensor popped its balljoint off, or servos fubar.
The sensors are mounted on nsf wishbone and nsr trailing arm. Often the front one that pops. If the balljoint seems loose, or it pops off again in a couple of weeks, sorry, replacement needed.

thanks

I've got the same fault code on my car. Has anyone got any pics/diagrams showing where these sensors are mounted or are they pretty obvious to identify?

Sensors are obvious, esp the front (most likely)

Great news :y
If it pops off again, I'm afraid you'll need to replace it (or bodge it)...

Just in case you're like me and on a budget, you might like to know that if its the ball joint that keeps popping out, I fixed mine 18 months ago by packing it with grease - and it's still fine (touch wood!)
-
Ok
I've located the sensors and they both seem to be attatched without very much play in the ball joints. If it's not the sensors whats the next step?

One or both of the servos in the headlight may not be working. Ignition, hand brake on, headlights on bonnet open. Slowly bounce each front wing up and down with your head by the light ...you should hear/feel which one is working and which isnt. One of mine was full of water but worked fine when drained cleaned rebuilt and sealed (box built into lower rear of headlight. See how to in guides section for headlight removal (the hardest bit!!)

Cheers for that, I'll have a go following those instructions & let you know.

Right Ive just tried bouncing the car and I can't hear anything apart from a small ticking noise coming from the air filter housing or at least I think thats what it is - big black box just behind o/s headlamp unit.
Could it be something as simple as a fuse?

If its not the sensors, it will most likely be a fubar servo. Is one light higher than the other?

I think so but I'm not 100% certain - Why, does this sound bad/expensive?

Pop up to Brackley one day, we can pop tech2 on it and tell you what you need to do.
