Interesting reading on lpg gents, intend lpg conversion myself asap, only question i have is that of tank size/position? Most seem to to have gone with 80 ltr tank, which gives best range obviously. My problem is i need to drop the seats down in my saloon for various reasons and, presumably i will have to have a smaller (40ltr???) tank in the spare wheel well, to keep that possibility???
Is that the best/only option with tank position/size while keeping the drop back seat option? (Is there any room under rear seats?)
I guess to expect a range of about 160 miles from 40 ltr tank?
With a 40 mile daily commute presuming fill up every 3/4 days?
Ps please feel free to recomend fitter/supplier. Think best option i seen, from what i've read ,is fitter in wales for 1100 and a day to fit.
please advise, thanks in advance, Chris. :y

Remember you cant fill an LPG tank to capacity, so a 40l will take a little over 30l, and your mpg will be lower on lpg than petrol.
No room under seats.

As has been said elsewhere re this welsh fitter --- to get it all done in a day takes some doing ( and possibly shortcuts!). Has anyone else on the forum used this guy ?

you can get a 64l(nominal) tank in the spare wheel well

Oh bugger, I missed that one and whats worse is I was working in Melksham Forest and Sandridge School :'(

i would of offered it here first but nobody seemed interested in doughnut tanks due to the "perceived"issues with light bulbs.all omega saloon wheel wells are identical.

I was thinking of removing the spare wheel well lid to gain an extra inch or so.

give it up!! it went in and wedged half way down, you would have to raise the floor by 75mm+ or so

yup thats what its all about.
-
so its not possible to change bulb without removing tank? surely its not removable on a flexable hose? :o
-
its not that bad, with the right tools you can remove the cluster with the tank in situ,or unbolt the strap holding the tank down and "lean it"away from the cluster thus gaining access.how often do you change your light bulbs?
-
I would have had that tank, my boot lock somehow fell apart and had to get in through the back seats, trying to remove the tank mounts and taking off the boot panel, IT WASN'T easy or fun, good job i can see the funny side NOW!!!! ;D ;D
btw mines 70lt and fites between the rear turrets.
-
Aha so its all doable then, my old cdx had a prob. with wear on lead bit on the end of the bulb, bulb had not blown but was not giving a good contact, so i was in and out of cluster more than i would like. But i think that answers my questions. Thanks for your time gents. cheers :y :y
unless anybody has more info??

I've got a 90l across the back of mine..or is the Estate wider between the arches? Can still lift up the wheel flap as well..just!
I might have been able to squeeze a 100l in there if my dad hadn't sold it to the bloke across the road ;D
