Now I know waht most of you are going to say,but here is my dilema.
Since replacing the cam shafts ,I have had a oil leak from the drivers side cam cover.I ahve replaced the gaskets twice now with genuine GM ones, all o rings and black sealant in the prescribed places. The breather pipes are absolutely spotless as is the large and small pipes in the breather box along with the plenum breather box cover, but despite all of this ,it still leaks. The bolts were only done up to 8nm so everything has been done by the book. The cover leaked before the cams were replaced ,and they are still leaking ,so my question is could this be a case of "a genuine warped cover"GM want £74-=00 per side but this includes the gaskets but not the o rings (strange ).
Has anybody else had to go to the extent of buying new covers just to get them to stop leaking ?
I did check them with a flat metal bar last time they were removed and appeared to be flat, but could be slightly off.
Any advise please as will be off to dealers in morning ??

cam covers came with o rings and gaskits pre "glued" in on myn. Old ones where not warped either .
can we not add a pressure release valve of some sort to cam covers???
