I fitted a second hand steering pump this evening supplied by markey mark and it has now allowed me to actually turn the steering from lock to lock with the car at idle and stationary.
Whilst I was following the Vx bleeding instructions I noticed that the car was lurching from side to side as I turned the steering from lock to lock.
You can actually see the whole of the front end sway over and back again.
Now to my question.................is this a sign of worn wishbones? TIA

My theory, the car will move in the direction you turn the wheel at stand still, the contact patch of the tyre in relation to the pivot point (i think) is either trail or castor, and i was told relates to the rate the steering wheel returns to center after turning a corner. its adjusted i believe by moving contact patch forward of the pivot point, or nearer to, depending.
(think motor bike fork angle, when viewed from side, a bike will do the same, if you turn the bars to a point off center,they will fall the rest of the way, to the lock stop,and the bike will "sway" in that direction)
