I've tried search, Is there a how to for the RH manifold gasket replacement?
-
No.....
You need to remove the coolant transfer pipe(not easy), the EGR pipe, heat sheild, downpipe etc... and then the studs them selves.
About a 4-6hr job im afraid :(
-
Give it a week or so, I think there are plans to do one at the Keswick meet ;)
-
If there is one being done at The Lakes Meet I will be watching myself as I may be doing mine soon ::)
-
Ok Loo-Knee if so you can do mine, i'll let you. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Don't mind practising on yours before I do mine ;D
But there will be help there just in case ;)
-
Just been out to look whats involved and then i realized, it's got LPG injectors fitted to the Inlet Manifold.
Is that gonna cause me more troubles :question
-
I'm in the middle of doing mine and I also have LPG. I am an Omega virgin so haven't a clue but this site has been very, very helpful. Look back a bit on this section for my thread.
One important tip: I thought it was my exhaust manifold gasket blown, making the noise. IT WAS'NT!! It was the secondary Air Injection pipe rubber joining piece which had split. So check yours first -you may have a similar problem.
-
On start up mine sounds like O/S is blowing...but after it warms up it's all ok...Is it on way out? Not liking the 4/6 hour job to be honest...!
-
Thats how mine was kineavy, and YES it was the gasket
Was a mare to get out as the person who fitted the LPG made a mess of the routing. wires and pipes ran everywhere
I have taken pic but can't get them off the camera till i get to my pc, (on lappy atm).
2 bolts were stripped in the inlet minifold, from the Plenum chamber so gotta repair that tomorrow. :(
