didnt make it clear on last topic had a couple of winter dunlops and they where noisey now want 2 new ones can anyone advise a brand of tyre that they can recommend but wont break the bank

Continental contipremium contact2 are an excellent tyre and if you shop around you could get a discount. They are one of the top tyres tested by autotrader. Unfortunately they can work out expensive but as i said shop around and you will be suprised how much you can save. Kwik fit are a Continental supplier so once you have the cheapest price give them a call and they will beat it ;)

General rule is, the softer the tyre, the quieter they will be. Were your dunlops quite worn??? We've had SP9000 Dunlops which were quite good noise wise, but the trade off is they do not last as long. The tyres with directional tread, like the SP9000's and Eagle F1's are generally also a little quieter.
Continentals, Michelins, Goodyear Eagles, they should all be pretty good and quiet. Wouln't go cheap, not worth it, usually harder rubber and after all, it's only the same price as a couple of tanks of fuel in your omega so puts it in context.
