I just wish my wife would let me keep it but I have a 2005 Rover 25 to finish (well start really) and I have told her I will sell the Elite Estate but she is right when she says the Estate is more useful to us :'(

So it will have to go

I was chauffered up the A-roads in this very car, bloody fast and drove like it had 30k on it, it was upsetting to walk away knowing I couldn't afford to insure it :'(

What sort of MPG are you getting out of the 3.2 Pete?
Title: Re: Very Nice. Elite.
Post by: Elite Pete on 18 October 2007, 21:09:52
I used it last week for work and went from home Northwich to County Durham using the M6 then A66, travelled around and the county and then drove home at the end of the week the same route and it returned just under 30mpg which is unheard of in my 3.0.

Nice ad Pete, but for what it's worth I'd remove the inference that Omega's get THRASHED and add the mileage in at the top. But you can of course completely ignore me...most people do :-[

Its called Orchard Marina which is on the Trent and Mersey Canal. I originally took the pictures outside the house but them thought the Marina would be better and its only a couple of hundred yards away :y

What do you lot think, Ive been offered £2650 for it but there are 10 people watching 9 are probably off here ;D should I take the money or wait a few more days?
Title: Re: Very Nice. Elite.
Post by: Danny on 20 October 2007, 18:49:12
i think wait a few days, the mileage is probably the only thing putting people off, but its a 2002 elite 3.2, in my opinion, worth at least the £3,000 you're asking

dont make a loss if you can avoid it

Its bloody typical isn't it. I do a car to make a few quid and then go and knacker the freezer by sticking a knife through it while defrosting it today. What a total prat:-[

It doesn't work like that, what generally happens is if someone has offered £2650 for a car you should be offering more to secure it ;D

Can I ask how many of you are watching this as I have 18 watchers which I can't understand unless the 18 are off the forum or im going to get a couple of silly offers after the auction if it does'nt sell. ::)

I should have taken the £2650, never mind :)

It will be fine and if it was up to me I would keep it for myself but the wife is right (but dont tell her I said that)and the estate is more practical for what we use it for.

The best thing to do is come and see it :y

IMHO you may get more sensible buyers on 'trader than ebay - I think that's just full of jokers all round..

the mileage appears to have had no effect on the way this car drives! I recommend you have a drive in it

i've just been looking at CDXs and as dirt cheap as they are, they're just not elites :(

gonna keep my eyes open, and settle for 2.5 for cheaper insurance

Oddly, when I was getting quotes, they wanted no more for a 3.2 than a 2.6 (both on an auto box, mind)...
