Title: Spark leads resistance.

Can you please tell me what is the standard spark leads resistance for X20XEV?
I found something odd - my leads are 2.4kOhms, 5.5kOhm, 7.5 and the longest one doesn't show anything (max resistance and no reaction of the resistance checking device ) funny thing is that the engine is running very smooth and all 4 spark plugs fitted 300 miles ago are clan as new.

Do you know how much are GM lead with TC discount?

HT leads not on TC as far as I am aware.

Sounds about right for the three you mention - think its something like 1kOhm/inch

It's herd to find any shop with standard HT leads (Bosh, NGK, BERU). Most have some fancy "tuning" stuff which I dont want.

How much are the spark leads from Vx dealer? TC gives min 10% discount on everything, + club discount if agreed.

Or maybe there is a way to replace external DIS pack with 2.2 DIS witout leads? It would be the best idea...

You cant fit a DIS pack, the lead resistance varies between 2K and 10K (shortest to longest)........more than this and the spark may still get there but will be weaker.

Sadly the best place for leads is Halfords..........they do thier own and Bosch ones at reasonable prices.

I thought that I've seen Bosh leads for £30 in Halfords. GM ones (BERU) last longer, but might cost double which is just too much…
Mark –2.2 have different plug and needs to be mounted with two bolts but that wouldn’t be a problem. I thing that there is the same number of cables in the plug.

There isn't.

The Coil packs have five wires, 1 of which is a supply (+12V) and the other 4 or the individual coil triggers.

The DIS has 3 because you are only firing 2 coils (1 supply and 2 triggers).

It might be possible to parralel the two coils up in the coil pack but, what we dont know is what affect this will have on the driver in the ECU or the coil life.

Or my life ;) Ok, I will leave this idea…and buy new HT leads from Halfords.
