It means crank sensor will fail soon.
So as already said, replace it ASAP ;)

31 is incorrect signal mate, 19 is crank shaft sensor failure (or imminent failure)...end of...

As said .. 19 = crank sensor .. this is one of the very few bits of kit that will render a miggy completely un-startable ... and it is on its way to total failure .. so change ASAP or you run the risk of being stranded somewhere.

On the advice of one of the more senior members of the forum, I now carry a spare crank sensor in the car - it was originaly intended as a backup on long journeys, but now "lives" in the jack storage facility .. if it fails the AA can change it for me  :)

Crank sensor for sure. Had my miggy tech2'd by TB a few weeks back and he found a code 19 (although I hadnt got any problems), told me to get the crank sensor changed. 2 days later EML starts flashing - crank sensor failed.

Nope, 31 = no rpm signal (engine not running, or sensor completely fubar), 19 = recent incorrect signal (sensor will fail soon)
