Title: engine code 0400

have engine code 0400 engine light coming on at low speeds with lose of power higher speeds goes off, have been told it might be a problem with exhaust gas valve,not good with cars so any help would be great.

i have had valve cleaned before but is it time think about replacing said valve?

0400 is Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve so yes it either needs replacing or you could try and clean it again.  Heard others on the forum blanking them off but never done this myself so can't help you further on that.
