With ET,are your refering to the off set? If so then yes a 42 off set on 18" rims is fine, that's what i run  :y

Yup they're the ones  235/40 :y Runs very nice on the 18", before fitment i thought the ride would be a little hard, but on fitment & running, she's very smooth & the cornering improved alot too. :)

vrba, just to let you know: I run 225/55R16 Michelins Primacy HP summer time and 195/65R15 Continentals WinterContacts TS 810. My winter tyres are almost new, my Michelins close to end of life. All in all, just from the point of which tyre is nicer to drive, it is actually Conti even though it is winter tyre, and that is probably just cause it is tinner. It is easier to steer when parking, less tramlining and less road noise. Obviously Michelins hold (dry) road better, but otherwise, objectively, for just plain normal driving and costs large tyres dont make any sence. It does not stop me looking for a set of nice 17inch rims though
