Title: rear window blind failure
Post by: less on 13 July 2008, 22:01:05
As said above. Has been working fine until this afternoon. Now it just 'clicks'.  :(

Has anybody had this? Does anybody know how to get at the mechanism? (I did try a search but nothing found)

No. I tried this afternoon with mrs Less pressing the button and it made no attempt to go up, just 'clicking' almost immediately. (only fingertips mind, no tools yet)

you'll have to pop the blind and shelf out then :(

Well......I earmarked this weekend to follow TB's advice. Tried the blind today and it has decided to work again. Wouldn't you know it!

Have tried it loads and it works every time. I don't know if the motor had stuck, or maybe a poor connection has 'made' again. I expect it will show itself again later.

hi mate, had a problem like this before, in the boot, under the parcel shelf there is 3no 10mm nuts that hold the shelf to the metal parcel shelf. the centre nut also doubles up as the main Earth for the motor in the blind. so make sure it's making good contact with bare metal and it's tight!
