Post by: bertiecbx550 on 26 October 2007, 11:50:21
I`m trying to find 1 as a gift for x-mas.. an do you think i can find one??? not a chance anywhere  nobodys  got em and those that did have sold out citing selfish people queing up more than once to buy as many as they can to put em on ebay or the local loot or bargain pages and put a £100 on em...£280 for the consoles   :'( all i want is to see the smile on my goddaughters face when she opens it on xmas day...at this rate i might as well give up as the offical sources are saying the uk will get 1 more delivery and that wont be enough for all the pre ordered ones.. i cant even get one outa comet as we dont know when we are gonna get em...whats the bets that after xmas there will be an excess of em????

They are OK but to be honest apart from the sports game you are probably better off with a more conventional console.

Best games on it are old downloadable SNES games.

With our children the PS2 gets a lot more usage. The Wii is a little bit of a one trick pony.

As to controllers, the PS2 has a camera, dance mat, microphone and Buzz buzzers

If you do find a Wii careful with the games, a few are ports of PS2 games, Nintendo badged stuff is best for this console - until there is a decent Star Wars game.

A coupla years back when the ps2 was released we had a 1 bloke order 50 ps2`s over the web site and i delivered em he even got a discount cause he knew someone in the stores who used their 20% discount voucher for him he bragged he was gonna put em on ebay and make a killing.....I felt like reporting em to head office till i found out that the local toe rags had seen us deliver and broke into his house and stole em when he went to work... I wonder how he put that claim in to his house insurance???? ;D

I do love the Wii, having a nine year old into his games he has most of the consoles, PS3 and xbox 360. But if ever i have a spare 30 mins i choose some Tennis on the Wii.

Lots of fun and calorie burning  ;)

they have Wii's here in London, I am very tempted to buy a few, and keep them until december.

They are £180 in the shop, and currently they are going for £220 on Ebay seen some go for £245!!!  :o :o

I could buy 3 and keep them until the xmas buying frenzie!!!  :D

I was gonna say..."hard to find"???

There's a used one in our local cash converters but they want £250 for it. What's all the hype then?

They are worth their normal price but not the raised prices.

You need 2 controls, 2 numb chucks,  and 2 traditional controllers.

Keep an eye on the Currys web site. Last year any they got went straight to the web, not to stores. This was to make it fairer for people to get them. Seems they may do the same this year, as there won't be enough to dish out to stores.
