Title: Fuel Economy
Post by: jimmas on 16 July 2008, 22:02:58
Hi just wondered if anybody had any thoughts on what I can do next, my miggy a 2.2i petrol cdx auto used to show around 38 to the galllon on the mid when cruising on the motorway at around the 60-65 mark, just lately this has dropped to around 31-32, plugs replaced, maf sensor, breathers all cleaned, including the small jet hole in valve cleaned outmaybe I am expecting to much out of it what does everybody else average in the same senario in a 2.2i petrol.

My 2.6 was running at 25/28 town/a road, but got much better once i replaced teh clogged up fuel filter.  Today on the way home, driving as normal i couldn't get it below 32.  I'm sure this would be better on motorway too.
