My cambelt has about 9000 miles to go before it needs to be changed.
My local garage wont touch it because they havent got a cam locking tool.
So its off to a local VX dealer as I'm not attempting this job myself!!
Anyone had one done by a Vauxhall dealership? If so how much would it cost? I'm guessing around £250
Is it best to use a genuine Vauxhall one or would a pattern kit suffice? I might try phoning a few other local garages to see who can do it........

Put your location in your profile .. someone near you might have one they can loan out .... :)

I live in Shropshire...but to be honest there is NO WAY I would try and change my own cambelt!!
Opening a can of Heinz beans and sausages is a challenge for me

Don't get a dealer to do it m8
You'll get a half arsed job, your timing will still be out & you'll be £300 odd down.
Spend 3 quid on the dvd, 15 quid on a locking kit hire & about 100 quid on cambelt kit & water pump.
Thats wot I did, and I'm a bit "technically challenged". At least I think thats what it said on my school report

I suspect you are looking at 350 - 400 quid at a stealer.
Personally I wouldnt suggest you do it yourself unless you are reasonalbly confident, have help or can do without the car for a period if you hit snags and need advice.
Is JamesV6CDX still doing mobile servicing? Is so I think he is your best bet :y
