Ive just replaced my faulty cat and have now found that the sensor is also shot, however my vx dealer does not want to give me the part number for a replacment!!......Ive seen one on another web site that will supply much cheaper but want to make sure its up to the job.
Also Ive started to get funny noises from the autobox on first startup when the car is parked on a slant (side to side). I know the fluid levels are correct as I checked it at the weekend just to make sure. the noise sounds like its runnind dry but after a couple of mins its fine. But saying that I still have a severe power drain through the gears and it just dont like 3rd gear (does 700/800 revs then jumps to 4th which really takes the wind out of your sails when trying to evertake. Any ideas anyone???

Gearbox selector playing up perhaps...have you tried cleaning it?

No I havent, dont know how it comes apart and not sure where it is. Is it the assembly on the side of the gearbox that connects to the gearlever.
I always wondered if it was down to the kickdown sensor but again I dont know where that is either??

Can anyone tell me where the kickdown sensor is??

selector/snow mode switch worth a search seen posts on those. s mode selects 3rd to pull away gently on ice, sometimes plays up ;)
