just doing timing belt etc and cos of advise changing pump as well
trouble is got motorquip pump was assured exactly same as original but when taken orig out found it had plastic impeller shape of fins diff to the new one but dont think thats too big a prob.
its the lug on outside thats the prob
it is shorter than orig so it doesnt slot neatly into groove
now my questions aredoes it have to be accurate as hoping the tensioner takes up any diff?
and this new pump had astra 93 upwards on invoice impeller made of metal and fins shorter but more of them so will it make diff to cooling?
car awaiting reassembly

It should be fine, the pump position is not mega critical, it just needs to be in the right ball park.
The tensioner will sort it out.
