Hi guys
Just got another set of projector lamps for one of my omegas and they arrived with the adjusters behind the full beam bulb broken into bits, now the lenses wobble about inside the units, can replacements be got from anywhere? and whats involved in fitting them?
thanks

it's quite a fiddle ::) i recently bought second hand projectors from egay with broken adjusters (never buying second hand from the bay ever again!!! >:()
i used the adjusters from my old style headlamps but they are not exactly the same and frankly it's a bit of a bodge ::)
you'll need to get a hairdrier or heat gun on the lamp to soften up the black sealant then lever apart and carefully strip them down.
do a search coz there is quite a good few posts on this subject :y

Sorry for this bad news but after my costly attempts at fixing mine 3 times I would advise that you just bite the bullet, buy a new one and most importantly collect it yourself! I say that because they are so prone to breakage that even the manufacturers packing does not always do its job as I found out. I received 2 via the mail that were broken, both packed in original manufacturers boxes before I decided to collect personally and finally got an unbroken one.
As for taking the lens off to get to the adjuster, the job is a nightmare and best forgotten about.

I personally found fixing the headlights not too hard...and I'm guessing collecting headlight when you live in Stornaway wont be too easy for you???

erm nope collection in person is out of the question for me Im afraid lol, I have taken the lense off one of them already and have taken the unit apart to glue and reninforce the adjuster, fairly easy job. only concern I have is making sure I get a perfect seal when i put it back together so the lights wont mist up, but there is always silica gel for that.
cheers
