Title: EBC brake parts
Post by: barclay03 on 30 July 2008, 11:10:37
just wondering if anyones using the EBC brake discs/pads. I seem to do alot of heavy braking, and looking to get the MV6 on a track this year too, so looking at uprated stuff, EBC seem to be about the most common in omega fitment. Was looking at their grooved discs and green or red pads... if anyones used em? :)

Mick Dundee has.

The red stuff pads are not ideal on the road though....they do take a bit of heat to get them effective which would make sudden emergency braking on say a motorway a bit challenging!

Yea, i remember the red stuff taking a while to heat up on a mates car - but that was a wee light thing so wasnt sure how theyd fair on somethin the size of the omega lol

I fitted the standard EBC pads all round on my previous '99 2.0 Auto saloon - and I towed a caravan with it. No problems whatsoever.
My present tractor has them on the fronts - again, no probs.
EBC are the only make of pad that I fit - so go for it fella ... !

I would go for the green stuff personally for standard road use.
