Title: Q. Headlight Switch Cluster
Post by: Taxi_Driver on 27 October 2007, 19:56:32
On my 2.2 the rotary switch is alluminated plus the graphic symbols showing Off/Sidelights/headlights.

But the foglight switches arent, neither are the adjusters for headlamp angle or dash brightness.

Is this normal or have I got a bulb/bulbs gone?

Only just noticed tonight and thought it a bit odd as every other switch is alluminated  :-/

Cheers

Well Dave if your bulbs have gone you'd best write a How2 cos mine must have gone too :-[

Given the fact that the rotary switch lights up and the heater vent above it 1-0 also lights up I'd say it was a fair bet that the brightness adjuster should too.

Now I have a problem I didn't know I had.  >:( Cheers  [smiley=beer.gif]

It has gone!  >:( I've got to watch a film with the Mrs now - but check back later and I'll post an easy How2 and picture of the bulb (not one you'll have a spare of) and you can get one from Vx before dismantling your dash:y

Be sure to remove the crowbar from any pics for getting the switch out  ;D
Carnt be that difficult i would have thought......says the bloke that took 3 hours to remove the blower fan and another 3 hours to fit another  ::) ;D

Following Chopsdad's 'how to' except i used knives instead off plastic cards, bulb replaced (not quite correct wattage......but best Halfords could do) and now the foglight switches and wheely adjusters are lit up  :)

Cheers for all the input guys, especially chopsdad for the photo's  :y
