Title: "Automatic gearbox" showing on MID!!

when i start my MV6 the MID displays "Automatic Gearbox"...

now this is a problem because my car is a MANUAL!!!!!!!!

i swapped the mid from a 2.5 CDX model as there were pixels missing from my original MID.

how do i get rid of this "warning"????

you will need someone with a tech2.

couple of members on here have tech 2 but are a fair
Way from you. Always worth a t2 session tho if you
can find one local for a sensable price,give the car a
once over for codes, may be able
To upgrade your software dep on your car.
 Up to you but i would not bother vx with it, too
expensive and quite often they cant use the thing.
Or am i being unfare?

Ps. Thought the screens had to be de paired before
Removal? Or is that just the colour ones. Anyone?

Just the later ones Chris...yeah the MID was obviously out of an auto car...needs tech 2 to tell it that its now in a manual one...

if its and earlier mid (yellow and black connectors), and came from same sized engine and car, them cutting a wire will fix. If not same model and engine size, needs reprogramming.

If later mid (grey connector), so many variations, it will need reprogramming.
