Self - levelling for HID (Xenon) lights not working.
Could be suspension sensors (near side front & back) - usually lever coming adrift
or levelling motors on rear of lights.

Tech 2 diags will pinpoint.

Look for obvious first - condition of suspension sensors

Normally caused by the level sensors (particularly front, on nsf wishbone) coming adrift, or by seized servos in back of headlight.

Thanks for your rapid replies - I will inspect the sensor and light motors and  report back.

Many thanks, you were spot on.

The front sensor was in two halves, with the arm to the sensor lying on the wishbone and the snap-on connections to the suspension in a bit of a state.
However I have managed a temp fix by cleaning and greasing the connector link and cleaning the ball joint where the body and arm of the sensor come together and with a little grease snapped them back together again. The hydraulic effect of the new grease makes it very difficult to pull the parts apart and should last until I can obtain a spare.

The Low beam F1T/vision warning has gone.

Don't U Luv it when a plan comes together!

It falls off its  buggered. It may fall off again
In which case just buy another, trade club card helps
With retail price of about 50 quid for sensor and
Linkage. Hope its a one off.

A ONE OFF! HaHa. Did you see what i did there? ;D

A tiewrap can also be used as a quick temp fix  :y

Wish mine was as easy as that  :'(

Still not working after changing the Xenon ecu, both sensors and both headlight adjusters.
Must be a damaged wire somewhere................needle in a hay stack springs to mind  ::)

Its all so exposed in there.

Tech II or similar will tell you exactly which signal isn't present so you can track back from that sensor.

Tracked back from the rear sensor this evening, seems ok no broken wires. I stripped all the insulation off from the sensor to where the wires join the main loom under the back seat.
I actually removed the seat base and pulled the wiring and plug up inside the car, much easier to work on.
Front one tomorrow, does anyone know where the wiring for the front sensor enters the car?

Problem now sorted  :) :y
