Title: Pre facelift Climate Control
Post by: eddys on 08 August 2008, 09:39:39
Hi all

Nice forum some very good user guides!!

I recently brought a CDX omega and it has one main issue with it. Its a 2.5 Auto.

The climate control works as expect directing air to diffrent locations depending on interior tempreture and and how hot or cold you set each side. The air conditioning also works flawlessly.

The main problem is the interior fan. When the car is switched off it remains on pritty much full blast. Even when the car is on and you turn down the fan speed it doesnt slow down. When off it selected it doesnt turn off either.

Could anyone shed any light on to whats causing this? Thanks. :y

Speed controller failed I suspect.  This normally happens when scuttle drain blocks, and the rain water comes in via pollen filter, and pours over the electronics speed controller.

From memory, over £100, so get a known good one 2nd hand.

Bolted to fan motor, up behind glovebox. Probably need to remove glovebox to get near it.
