Title: Mud Flaps
Post by: Omegadoha, Desert Member on 08 August 2008, 18:24:09
I have a pair of non vauxhall mud flaps and am considering having them fitted. 3 screws per flap are provided for fixing purposes and it appears that these will fix into the liner arch. But the liner arch just doesn't seem strong enough.

Is it better to use clamps? or will 3 screws hold? Any experiences please.

Many thanks.

I'm not so sure about non vauxhall but i had a set of gen ones on my omega and the front ones come off as fast as they went on cos they rub the ground every time you go round a bend and in turn drive you round the bend ;D

Actually they rub on the wheels & make a worrying but innocent noise!

dont bother they just fall off!

and when they fall off they have the habbit of getting stuck behind the wheel

the mountings for myn rusted away! Thankfully :y :y :y

the VX Griffins fall off aswell!

btw yes the rears are held on with three screwclips that do rust away!

I disagree wth you all. I have some fitted to mine & i've never had any problems. I too posted the same question some time back & the answers i got where encouraging. If fitted properly i think you won't have any problems  :y
