You could try your local dealer and see how much they want or you could take a trip to Newent next month and get it done there ;)

Hi mate. Dont know if its the same with the omega, never had no problems with mine, but with my old vectra if you put the key in the ignition and turn it till the dash lights come on then press the lock button on the keyfob the doors should lock then unlock. Turn the ignition off then it should be programmed in. As I said it worked with the vectra but it may not work on the omega. Worth a go though. Hope this helps mate. Mark

That will ony re-sync a key already programmed to the car, it wont add a new one to it.

Talking in the pub tonight about the ignition /fob thing and this guy leans over and said do you think it will work on my Astra?

So off we trotted to his Astra Estate and another driver can now use his Fob!

I thought Astras have a similar setup to Omega, and the fob needed to be coded?  Which Astra was it?

Was quite disappointed by Dealer in Ashford (Kent) Wanted £79 for a new key for my meggie and then wanted to charge me £37.50 + VAT to programme it. Called Dover and they sold me the key for £76 and programmed it free. Ashford have been really good in the past but not happy at them taking the mick with the key.

Some members are so lucky to live nearer me - £15 for the blank blade and transponder inc programming, and about £35 for new fob (from online, sadly I can't supply these :()

Pete,

My tech 2 arrived this morning and I've coded my key into the immobiliser with it so it's working ok!

Where abouts in Manchester are you?
