just looked at hayes manual ans it say remove frount pipe to get at rear bolt if nessary
Is stricly nessersery to remove the frount exhaust pipe on the 3L v6
to get the oil cooler out or can it be done with out removing front pipe
-
There's no need to remove any of the exhaust to do the oil cooler. If you are doing the job properly you will need a crows foot spanner to undo the oil cooler pipes by the oil filter.

thanks pete thats good to know.

You could always bend the pipes a little at the oil cooler ::)

As said before in prevous post about the haynes manual its the book of lies. The front downpipes aren't anywhere near the oil cooler. ;D ;D
