Title: Coolant Fan

Is there a way of testing if my coolant fan is working?

The temperature has started rising above normal on longish trips and I can not hear the fan cutting in.

I have checked the fuses and they seem OK but where is the thermostat that switches the fan on?

Any help much appreciated.

Mine has air con, if this is ON then a fan comes on immediately; irrespective of the engine temp.
