can you change the adjusters in the omega headlights on a 97 model or do i need to replace the whole unit and if so can you fit xenon units to this age omega thanxs

why, have they snapped by any chance?
i've recently retro-fitted some second hand later type (>98) projector lights but the adjusters were snapped so i took the stronger old (white) adjuster from my original lights and made 2 good lights from 4 crap ones (very fiddly though)
I wasn't able to find new adjusters to buy anywhere and to be honest with you i'd not bother taking them apart because second hand lights still have pretty clouded lenses - best bet is to get some new £50 pattern ones from ebay :y
original spec omega xenons can't be fitted as they need the self-leveling sensors and high pressure headligh washers :-/
but you could fit an aftermarket xenon bulb kit - but not really legal ::)
hope this helps :y

old type headlights use reflector type:

whereas newer headlights are 'Projector (polyellipsoidal) lamps':

'xenon' lights are still a projector style lamp but use a 'High Intensity Discharge' bulb for a brighter whiter (4300k) light.

easiest upgrade is some new projectors, HID would be better but like i said you have issues of self leveling and washers.
Make sure that the lights are for the correct age of your Omega, the facelifted omega (>2001) lights are a different shape and won't fit :y
