Title: Anyone ever tried BG44K additive?
Post by: webby23 on 23 August 2008, 10:14:01
Hi

Come across BG 44K additive yesterday.

Has anyone ever tried it in an Omega petrol engine?

Any improvements after putting it in?

Thanks

From what I understand its meant to be like Redex, but much much more potent, claiming to clear internal parts of all carbon and deposits and restore the engine internals to "as new" condition.

Also improves engine performance long term and fuel economy by up to 10 % apparently.

Its a hell of a claim, and at 20 quid a can its not cheap, but if it does what it claims its a bargain.

Sounds like a load of b*llox - you shouldn't need to add additives to engines for them to function properly - regular servicing is the answer.

Sounds like 'snake oil' IMHO.

Yep the car is serviced on the dot anyway.

They are making big claims for this stuff, just wondered if anyone on here had experience of it.

Cheers
