Title: Windows sticky

  Hi, Where my Meega's been sitting for the best part of 18 months the leccy Windows have become a bit slow to almost straining to move.

  I'm going to remove the door cards and put something on the slides, suggestions as to the best stuff to use please?

Not sure if it is the best thing but I used a silicone based spray (99p from lidl's) and it did the trick when my rear window was stiff. Just sprayed it into the runners and opened closed the window about a dozen times to work it up and down the runners. Did all the windows just in case.

I think it bests not to use WD40 or other liquids on the felt guides.

Why not try to put some lubricant on the edge of the glass to try to get it down to the guide channels before removing the door cards?
What about a silicone spray used very carefully? Or even Vaseline, (petroleum jelly), which could be cleaned off more easily if it gets onto the windows in the wrong places.
Always assuming it's not the motors which have become sluggish through non-use.

I believe PTFE spray is preferred as it is a "dry" lubricant .... :)

I use PTFE spray which I borrowed from work  ;) I think Halfords sell a spray which is similar no idea what is is called sorry

I've used silicone spray on window felts for years, after having it recommended to me by Autoglass.

PTFE spray or silicone spray (mould release spray used in injection moulding is good).

In the "old days" used to use something called soft soap to lubricate felt window runners ;)

I'd drop the windows and try some good old warm soapy water first...  allow to dry and see how that goes first,,,   spray the runner/seals with some glass cleaner....

Pretty sure that'll sort it..
