I have always been keen on the Lotus Carlton however, I've only ever seen a 'real' one in the flesh just once in my life. I never knew until recently that that it was called a 'Lotus Omega' in mainland Europe, mainly a LHD but same Straight 6, twin turbo, 377 BHP....oooh....What if they had done the Omega B in that Imperial Green with wide arches, 17'' wheels ect ect.
A challenge for anyone whose up for taking something like a nice tidy Elite......and just getting on with it.......... :y
I would but I havent got a garage...... ;)

it was originally called the lotus omega because the original vauxhall carlton was sold in europe under the opel badge as the Omega A
i saw very recently a thread pointing to someone's omega B on here which has the lotus carlton engine in it, and also had the original lotus carlton alloys on it

I saw one in the flesh when I was about ten.... and what a sight it was way back then! It was parked in a car park when I was on holiday, so I went back to where I was staying to get my camera (old analogue one of course!) and was glad to see it was still there when I got back to the car park. I was a very happy ten year old that day :D

The northern (England ;)) arm of the Autobahnstormers have a monthly meet and a member brings his IMMACULATE Lotus Carlton when the weather is nice (& he's not working) One day I might pluck up the courage to ask for a ride in it. :o :o :o :y
I took on another local Lotus at the lights one day ....................... I eventually caught him up at the next set of traffic lights!! ;D ;D ;D

one used to park near my old job, stunning looking car.. saw it every day!!
A member here fitted the full running gear from a Lotus Carlton into a 2.0 GLS Omega. He left it badged a 2.0 as well ;)

My signature says it all really :(
I've seen quite a few (by going to a couple of AutoBahnStormers meets) and whenever I see one now it makes me grin ;D I remember when I went and picked it up having just bought it (at the ripe old age of 22) I scared myself and my then girlfriend by coming off a roundabout (that was fairly busy) sideways at rather high speed! lol. I'd never driven anything LHD, or that fapping quick before. I had a very interesting day that day.
I'm not sure I'd go down the route of fitting all the Lotus Carlton/Omega gubbins to an Omega B though, I'd rather go for the Monaro V8, especially in an estate ;)

There is something not quite right about this me thinks, first= why is it so cheap. only £6000 with no reserve. at the moment, MINT ONES ARE asking £18,000 with full history. second It is a left hooker, no prob there but even these command £15,000 plus. :o

left hooker means nothing on these, and there's still plenty of time for the bids to climb, it'll probably have about 50 watchers all booking time off work to coincide with the auction ending time to throw their bids in :y

I've seen one once. I was in my old Corsa... I nearly kept up... mainly cos it was rush hour...
