Hi these two would suggest an egr problem, is there any way to check an EGR? Also would this cause the missfiring and complete lack of power that I'm experiencing atm.
Many thanks in advance

Yes it would.
Two things to do
1) Remove it and clean it out with paint stripper.
2) refit it but sandwich a cut piece from an old coke can so it blcoks the two prost on the base off.
