I've bought a used wing mirror from Jim on here but I have neglected in the meantime to look up how I actually fit it on the car! Nothing comes up on the search.
Does the door card need to come off, or can I pull off the triangular blanking plate on the inside of the door and undo the fixing screws?
ETA: It's a facelift, by the way.
I don't want to break something in my haste.
Anyone got any tips on how to remove the coloured sections on the mirror itself as I want to get them sprayed the right colour.
(Cheers to Jim for a very well packaged item - TOP EBAYER A++++++ ETC ETC !!!!!! ;) )

Remove the triangular blanking plate (lift it off at the foremost edge first and then slide it back as it clips around the door frame)
Remove three screws and disconnect the wiring connector....very easy job to do

Not quite.
The door card covers two of the screws and it is not possible to bend it back far enough to allow access with a screwdriver. My brother is bringing a 90 degree screwdriver home tomorrow so I will tackle it then.
Cheers. :y

If same as pre facelift, you dont need to remove the whole doorcard to get to bottom 2 screws...just the black plastic door handle...3 screws and it pulls off...

Same as pre-facelift. Never had the plastic cover off so not sure about that. I do know they are interchangable if need be.
